Groundhog Day is coming up fast!

January is just flying by! Pretty soon February 2 will be here and we'll all be looking to Punxsutawney Phil for the weather forecast! If you're anything like me, you've said for years that you were going to make it up there yourself to see him, and every year the day comes and goes and you never got there. 2nd annual Fire and Ice Festival!!

This Saturday, January 9th, is the 2nd annual Fire and Ice Festival in downtown Indiana! Twenty five ice sculptures with be displayed around town presented by participating businesses. There will also be activities starting at 8am and continuing until 2pm that will include a breakfast prepared by the Zion Lutheran Church, festivities in IRMC park, and a free viewing of "Fieval Goes West" in the Jimmy Stewart Museum. The Chili Cook Off will start at noon at H.B. Cullpeppers with various local restaurants and individuals competing for "Indiana's Best".There is still time to enter the competition if you are interested, the deadline is January 7th. If you're coming in from out of town for this event, there are still rooms at Heritage House free this weekend within walking distance of all of the action!
